Discuss everything about fids/tikal on the test server here.

*Tikal/ Stats update Aug 6 8:00PM EST*

Staff

  • Changed to 1 handed
  • Upped SP from 7 -> 8

Bow

  • Made enchantable to 6
  • Upped damage modifier from 14 -> 15

Kiringku

  • Changed damage from 28/26 to 33/33
  • Changed add SP 3 -> 5

Chainsword

  • Changed damage from 23/18 -> 25/20
  • Fixed it missing the +50HP

Tikal boss

  • Upped standard attack damage x3
  • Lowered AC from -140 to -120

Skills have been added to the boss.. he should be a little tougher now.

  • Changed hit modifier to 10
  • Changed damage modifier to 14
  • Changed proc damage to 40-80

  • Changed hit modifier to 10

Staff

  • Changed add sp to 7

Edo

  • Changed damage modifier to be 18
  • Changed hit modifier to be 10

Dagger

Hi Smitty,

I think fid bow is currently too weak.

Its current stats are:

5/5 (which is irrelevant to bow damage calculation for this server)

+8 dmg

+8 hit

+2 dex

coc (30-45 dmg, 10%)

It is currently too weak because it is safe to +0. (you can make +2, but still too weak).

Just the damage itself, if +2, is similar to like +6~+7 sayha's bow. +8 Hit bonus of course is great 

My suggestion is, make this either safe enchantable to +6, or just add +6~+7 dmg bonus (which is worse than safe enchantable to +6, since you won't get hit bonus from enchants). 

Coc looks cool, but I believe on korean live, same demon king bow procs debuff magic "disease" onto the target.

Most weapons seem well balanced except maybe for Elf. Since base dmg on bow is not taken into account, that leaves the stats at only 8 hit, 5 dmg and 10-45 damage proc at 10% rate. It doesn't say anywhere the safe enchant limit but I assume it's +6 tho.

That being said, a +8 Moonbow will hit just as hard, although the proc is even better (10% chance to deal 16-45 dmg). Now if we consider the +2 Dex, perhaps you'll hit like a +9 Moonbow (dmg wise). Overall, the only benefit this fid bow provides is 4-5 more hit bonus than a +8 Moonbow but less DPS which seems to me very disappointing. 

Either add some dmg bonus to the bow, like 8 instead of 5 and/or increase the proc rate and/or proc damage.

What do you guys think ?

The dmg bonus is already +8. I believe smitty’s stats was a typo (5). Also is safe to 0 only now. I agree with maybe tweaking a bit with proc rate or damage.

It says Damage Modifier: 5

Damn if it's only safe to +2 then it's just poop lol, my +11 Hunter Bow was way better c_c

Was a typo, it is 8. The stats were based on what people gave me as the stats for Japan live right now, but I'll look at tweaking the bow.

All fids are safe to +0.

Also, I believe Tikal boss is too weak (dmg wise) currently.

I am not sure what the drops will be, but if rewarding, then should definitely be stronger. 

Dmg wise, it should be as strong as lich or more. (I'm not sure if this boss is supposed to be at dragon's level, like vala, antha, etc...) It is only hurting like 100 per hit currently, with ac around -62 and mr 133%. 

I believe HP is huge already.

+2 Demon King Bow:

  • 10 Dmg (8 bonus + 2 from enchant)
  • +9 Hit (8 bonus + 1 from enchant)
  • 10-45 Proc (10% rate)
  • Possibly 1 extra Dmg/Hit from +2 DEX

Versus

+10 Longbow of Moon:

  • 14 Dmg (4 bonus + 10 from enchant)
  • +8 Hit (3 bonus + 5 from enchant)
  • 16-45 Proc (10% rate)

On top of that, +10 Moonbow is like 1-1.5b cheaper than Fid weap. Demon Bow definitely needs tweaking lol

Also, are the procs from Fid Bow/Chainsword/Staff Int and/or elemental based or static ?

the reality is both of the two weapons above do the same 50-60 dmg with said buffs above. This happens to also be the damage my level 56 Illu does with a Tidal +8 Obsidian Kiringku on Live server.

I think they are elemental and fixed damage (10-45, 10%) for now, based on smitty’s descriptions. It might be reasonable to make proc dmg/chance depend on stats, like thebes weapons.
